Ben Stolz
I am Ben, currently studying Management and Economics in Innsbruck and playing semi-professional football in the third division of Austria. My parents live in Germany, directly on the Swiss border, where I graduated with my High School Diploma in 2021.
I started playing football when I was three years old because of my Dad, who coached me for numerous years throughout my youth. After playing for the academy of a German 6th division club, I trialed at the Professional Clubs Darmstadt 98 and FC Aarau, before Iultimately decided to accept an offer to play for the U19 and U23 of FC Schaffhausen, a Swiss second division club.
As I grew older, my interests of playing football expanded to a greater general interest in the economical view of sport and the various operations within football clubs. This interest leads me to move to Innsbruck, Austria, where I began my Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Economics, with numerous courses providing insight to Sports Business and Management. After a short stay at the U23 of Austrian Bundesliga club, WSG Tirol, I made the move to a club in the third division of Austria. I currently find myself here, as I continue to pursue Football at a high level and study for my Bachelorˋs degree, which I will receive in the summer of 2025.
Alongside my studies and playing career, I have decided that the Sport Business Industry is an Industry which I aim to begin working in. As a result, I have strengthened my network and knowledge in the Industry. After careful consideration, I have founded a Sports Consulting Business, alongside my lifelong friend Tom. We aim to support clubs, associations and other companies from the sports industry, in their strategy alignment and process optimization to reach their full potential.
